A little about Cindie
My first book has  been published, and of course, I'm excited! Based on my life with a
man who claimed to be a secret government agent, this story was too hot for the
publisher to handle as a memoir, so it was transformed into an "inspired by true events"
novel. But, as the old adage says, truth is stranger than fiction. For a copy of Ask Me No
Questions, email me or go to the publisher's Web site,

Speaking engagements, book signings, etcetera
I love speaking to groups of all sizes. As an advocate for victims of domestic violence, I've
spoken to high school and college students about abusive relationships, self-esteem,
and other issues related to domestic violence, as well as the writing process. I've also
spoken to professional groups such as mediation consultants, medical professionals,
social workers, and Christian organizations, presenting my experience and observations
as a survivor. My first book-signing was, in fact, at the Parker Walk for Victory at Parker
High School on October 24. On Tuesday, October 27, I spoke to Wallace Elementary
School fourth-graders about the process of writing. Now that's an audience to appreciate!
I will be at the Hastings Bookstores in Bullhead City (Dec. 6) and Kingman (Dec. 13) from
11-2. I will also be an exhibitor at the AZ Library Assoc. Convention in Glendale, AZ, Dec.
7-8.

"Even though they say they're always looking for something fresh, exciting, and different,
the bottom- liners for big presses still want authors who churn out derivative, formulaic
crap that might get you a book contract but will probably soon be out-of-print because
there's nothing to distinguish it from all the other stuff crowding the shelves."
